Brushing your teeth hard and using dental floss is fundamental to keeping your teeth healthy. Along with this, eating good food for your teeth is one way. I introduced six foods that are good for dental health that the dentist tells me.
1. Milk
Milk lowers the level of acid in the mouth. The effect is greater than water or apple juice.
2. Tea
Polyphenols in green tea and black tea prevent tooth decay and gum disease. According to researchers at the University of Illinois in the U.S., rinsing teeth with black tea can cause less plaque in the teeth.
3. Cheese
A study found that children who often eat cheese have low levels of acid in their mouths.
4. raisins
Natural sugars in raisins prevent bacteria from sticking in the mouth. It also has the effect of removing plaque that forms cavities.
5. Foods containing vitamins and phosphorus
Foods containing vitamins and phosphorus such as almonds, green leaf vegetables, meat, eggs, and fish make tooth enamel stronger.
6. Sugarless gum
Chewing sugar-free gum after meals promotes the secretion of saliva, which removes bacteria from the mouth.
